17/08/2007 hello!Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I have been on here. I added some newer pics to update a bit. Hope everyone is doing well. I would come visit, but I am tired and it has been a busy day. Will got 5 shots today and I need to be in the bed in case he doesn't sleep well. Me and Faith are starting school Monday and we're not looking forward to it. I had 3 weeks off and it sure has been nice. In fact I got spoiled to it. I am reapplying for the nursing program in September and hopefully I'll be starting that in January. The kids are really growing. Will is 16 months old already. It makes me sad. He wasn't a baby long enough. Anyway, I'm just rambling so I'll go to bed. Goodnite! 20/05/2007 NopeI didn't get into the nursing program this time around, but I'll be ready next time for sure! I am taking 3 more classes over the summer and 3 more in the Fall and I should get in for the spring semester. Not much going on here lately. We went to Texas during Mother's Day weekend for Bill's family reunion. I really enjoyed visiting with my family. I forgot the pics I had on here were old so I added some newer ones. :) 14/03/2007 Hello!Hi there! It's been a while since I blogged on this site. It is hard for me to keep up with my spaces. I was on myspace quite a bit, but now it has gotten boring. I also tend to write blogs there that no one reads, so ...... Anyway...
I applied for the nursing program and should hear around March 26th if I got accepted or not. They said I may not get in this time because I still have to take some of my "core" classes and I am going up against people who have already taken them. If I don't get in it will be ok. Will is still little and not sleeping so I am constantly tired. I don't have much motivation to do anything lately. We moved in January and I am still sorting through boxes here and there. The house is bigger with a bigger yard, but the neighborhood is a bit of a downgrade. But it is only for a few years so I guess I can deal. Anyway, I'm rambling as usual. I have to go make dinner now - just wanted to say hello and blog a little.  05/12/2006 No, it can't beWinter?? In Florida??? It is so cold here....well...cold to me. You would think I could tolerate it after living in Denver four years. Nope. I think when you're born and raised on the Gulf coast there is no such thing as getting used to cold weather. This is different though from Colorado cold. It is more humid here and that makes the air feel even colder. Faith went to school bundled up with mittens and a scarf. Thank goodness it is supposed to warm up to 60 degrees today. I couldn't find any socks so I wore flip flops when I took her to school LOL! Anyway, not much going on here - just that ol holiday stress I get every year. Shopping, traveling...I haven't even started my shopping yet. I wanted to go this morning, but it was too cold to take Will out. I hope everyone is doing well! My first semester of school is almost over and I am so glad!! I need a break. I better run. I'll try to come back and visit you all soon. 25/09/2006 Good morning!Yes, I know it's Monday, but I'm in a good mood this morning. I am staying caught up with the school work and so far I have a 4.0 GPA. If I can keep that up I should have a better chance of getting in the nursing program next Fall. Will & Faith are doing well. Will is getting huge and likes to sit up all the time now. Faith has started riding the bus home from school and she loves it. Her neighbor friend rides it too so they get to talk some. Other than that, there's nothing really interesting going on around here. The neighbors had some sort of fire in their house across the street on Saturday. Two fire trucks came out and there was smoke coming out of the house, but we never saw any flames so we're thinking it must have been a grease fire because it was around dinner time. Will & I went to Walmart this morning and it was pleasant. We got there at 8am and it wasn't busy at all. I can't stand that store when the whole town full of people are crammed in there like sardines. Well, I'm going to do a little visiting today. Have a nice week everyone!  03/09/2006 Hi!Hello everyone! School is going well right now. I have been studying a lot and I have an A average right now in math. I haven't had any tests yet in my other classes. My next big one is Anatomy on Sept. 13 so tomorrow I'll be back to keeping my nose in the books. I will try and make it back to visit - Will's getting upset. Enjoy the rest of the weekend! I miss you guys! 16/08/2006 School todayWell, here we go... My first class starts at 5pm this evening. This will be my first time to go to school in 9 years. I'm feeling pretty nervous right now. I'm not so much worried about the classes as much as I'm worried about Will being without his Mama for over 4 hours. :( Poor little guy. He always cries even when I'm just in the shower and Bill is holding him. I guess he needs to get a little used to others holding him. 07/08/2006 :)I just wanted to come by and say hello to all of my friends! I'm busy right now and may not get to visit today. 21/07/2006 My family is coming!!It seems like I've been very busy, but can't think of what I've been so busy doing. We've been out shopping the past 2 days. Will has been grumpy - I think he is teething - drooling A LOT and chewing his fists. He hasn't been sleeping well at night. Today I have been cleaning up getting ready for my family. They are coming tomorrow and I am so excited! They haven't been able to visit me since Faith was born and we lived in South Carolina. I'm hoping it won't be too hot while they're here. I'll have do take Will to the beach in the evening when it's cooler.
I may not get around to visiting everyone today and it might be a few days before I'm back. Have a nice weekend and I will be back - probably Wednesday or Thursday.
Take care!  16/07/2006 SundayBill called around 9am and said he was in England. It had been over 24 hours since he slept and he was very tired. He had a hard time sleeping on the plane because it was not comfortable at all. They rode on a cargo plane and it was loud. I miss him already. 14/07/2006 FridayNot much going on around here today. Everyone's still asleep except for me & Bill and he's at work. I called animal control back out to pick up the dog. It had green snotty looking stuff and I didn't think it was gonna make it. The lady said the dog is very old and probably going through its last stage of life. She said she appreciated us trying to help it. I would have kept it if it wasn't so sickly. There's no telling what all it has. They are going to check their records to see if someone reported a missing dog. We think she belonged to someone and wandered off. She wouldn't eat out of a bowl, but would if she was hand-fed, so she was obviously spoiled by someone. I hope they find the owner so it isn't put to sleep (if it's not too diseased).
Bill is leaving tomorrow for England. I am going to try and do a major overhaul on this place and get rid of some junk. This house is just too small for us. Ok, I'm going to have a quick lunch before Will wants his. Bye!
 13/07/2006 Dog and Ants (another nutty story)Hello everyone! Yesterday and today have been pretty crazy around here. Yesterday morning we were walking outside to go to Wal Mart and there was a dog in our front yard by the house. It was on the verge of death. The poor thing is nothing but bones. We're not sure if someone neglected it and dumped it, or if it had been a stray for a while and couldn't find anything to eat. Bill fed it some ham and weenies and it started getting better. I called animal control after we got back. They came out, but we ended up keeping it for now. The lady said they would hold it for adoption for four days then euthanize it if it wasn't adopted out. No one would adopt this dog. It looks ratty and is so skinny. It's a sweet dog and my Sister and I couldn't stand the thought of them killing it, so we are trying to fatten it up and give it away once it starts looking better. Bill isn't too excited about having another dog, but I told him they were gonna kill it and I couldn't deal with that. He named it "I Wish You Wouldn't Have Stopped at my Doorstep" LOLOL! It could barely stand when we first found it and now it's walking around the yard and seems to be doing a lot better. Anyway, that's the dog story - on to the ants....
This morning I woke up to Bill telling me we have ants in the car! Those dang things can get into everything! I went outside and looked--- they were in the floorboard, in the back seat, all in the trunk. It was awful. Turns out there was a bag in the trunk that had a tiny amount of food in the bottom of it and the were all in it. Bill took the vacuum and spent about an hour doing that. Hopefully he got most of them. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I can't stand ants! Pesky terds. Then on top of all that Faith told the neighbor kid I thought he stole something and he ran in his house crying. He brought a necklace to her yesterday and I said "Where did you get it from?" He said "A purse." So I was thinking oh no he took it. Isn't that what you would think? I made Faith take it off later and said "We don't know where it came from." Today she went outside and told the boy that I said he stole it out of a purse. Faith came back in a few minutes later and said he ran in his house crying and told me why. Oh my gosh I didn't know what to do then.....so I went over there and talked to him Mom and everything's fine now. Another lesson learned: Don't say ANYTHING in front of your kids because they WILL repeat it!!! I don't think I ever said I thought he stole it, but I guess that's what she got out of the conversation between me & Bill. I'm sure hoping the day gets better and not worse. I'm having my coffee now and feeling better already. It looks like rain and we can't bring that dog inside because we don't know if it's sick. I'll have to find something to cover it up with.
 My Sister is hand feeding it and that is so funny to me. She's spoiling it already. I'm not sure what kind it is...some little terrier mix. Well, I hope I made someone laugh with this crazy story.
Have a good weekend! 10/07/2006 SchoolI registered for my classes this morning. I'm very nervous now. Will is awake more during the day, so it's gonna be tough to find studying time. I have to do well in all of my classes to get accepted in the nursing program.
I better get going - have lots of work to do. Laundry and all that fun stuff.
Have a good week  08/07/2006 Trip to TexasHi everyone! It seems like a long time since I've been on here. Our trip went great. We left last Saturday morning and got to spend the whole week there. It was so nice to visit with everyone and not have to be in a hurry, although, I still felt rushed every now and then. We had so much good stuff to eat ---- I probably gained 10 pounds! My Mom made a pork roast, My Mam-a and Pa had BBQ brisket, Bill's Granny also had brisket, my Mother-in -law fried deer meat........yummmmmmmmm.......it was all sooo good........ Ok, now that I've made myself drool, let's move on.
I have lots of pictures, but I still need to get them off of the camera. We took a detour through Biloxi yesterday and I took pics of the hurricane damage from last year. It still looks very bad there. All of those beautiful plantation houses are completely gone --- nothing left but the foundations. The restaurants we have visited before on the beach were wiped out. There were huge casinos in the water and they are gone too. It is all just so sad to me because we used to live there and I remember how it looked before the storm. I didn't want to go look because I knew it would upset me, but I was also curious to see how different it is. They are rebuilding some things, but it is going very slow. Many businesses are in portable buildings and there's lots of campers parked across from the beach where the houses used to be. There was a lot of traffic there and that surprised me. There was an Olive Garden across from the beach and the only thing left now is the sign. There were hardly any people on the beach. It was so different.
Well, Will is asleep and I need to get started on laundry. My Sister Kristen came back with us and is staying a few weeks. We are glad to have her here. She must be very tired - still sleeping lol! I hope she doesn't get bored. I think we're going to take her to the beach this weekend. Will was very good the while time we were gone. I am so proud of my Little Man! He got a little upset last night, but I know he was tired of being in that car seat. I rode with him in the back seat and I was sure tired of being in the car. It took us about 14 hours to get home yesterday. Our detour in Biloxi took an hour and we got in traffic at Pensacola which added about another hour. Grrrrr.... they need to fix that bridge so we don't have to get off the interstate. I'm rambling again.... I hope you all had a great holiday! I will try to get back later and do some visiting.
